Vienna Opera Ball

The Vienna Opera Ball is one of Austria's most prestigious social events and has a long and fascinating history. Its roots go back to 1877, when a big ball was held at the Vienna State Opera for the first time. After interruptions during the two World Wars, the ball was reintroduced in its current form in 1956. The Vienna Opera Ball 2025 will take place on February 27 at the magnificent Vienna State Opera. The theme of the event this year is “Classic meets Modernity” and promises a particularly glamorous night. In addition to the traditional elements of the opening, guests can expect musical performances by international opera stars and a new production by the Vienna State Ballet. For this special occasion, the Vienna State Opera is decorated with elaborate floral arrangements and shines in a festive atmosphere.
