The Wimbledon tournament is the oldest and most renowned tennis tournament in the world and has been held annually since 1877 on the legendary grass courts of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London. As one of four Grand Slam tournaments, it enjoys a special position, as it is the only tournament still played on the traditional grass ground. This year's Wimbledon tournament will take place from June 30 to July 13, 2025 and features some new features. For the first time in the history of the tournament, electronic linesmen are being used, which represents a significant technological advance in a traditional environment. In addition, the individual finals start this year at 16:00 local time, two hours later than usual, which gives the event a special atmosphere and gives players more time to prepare.
